Guest Posted September 26, 2006 did you have the wheels alligned when you had the konis fitted? they found quite a few problems with mine when I got it alligned, now the steering wheel is 30 degrees off what I thought was centre
glen 0 Posted September 26, 2006 yeah had it 4 wheel aligned soon after fitting about 3 months ago...
NickVR6 0 Posted September 26, 2006 might be a wheel bearing i guess although it should still handle ok and that would make wirring noise when cornering hard. Could be a track rod or ball joint, it all takes a pounding with that motor up front. whats been replaced and whats original?? If the track rods nacked the front wheels may try to go pidgeon toed, or the oposite i cant remember, that will take the inner or outer edges off the tyres depending which way they are trying to pull
glen 0 Posted September 27, 2006 i thinks its a ball joint or track rod... the cars going in for front engine mount tomorrow so get it sorted then, cor i see a big bill coming with 2 tyres the above problem and the engine mount better go rob a bank! Trig 0 Posted September 27, 2006 BJ replacements shouldn't cost much glen, or you could DIY it? You'll need to get it alligned again though.

glen 0 Posted September 27, 2006 checked the tyre pressure today and the tyre with the bad wear was down to 25 psi could that of caused it?
double-6s 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I've checked my tyres and found them to be as low as 10 psi (!!!) and i've never had that sort of wear. So I doubt thats it?
