Phil K 0 Posted October 9, 2006 De-Caps'd your post - please don't shout ;) It really could be a number of things causing your running problems... my guess is it's air flow meter related - I say this as they are the bain of my life and I'm on my fith one in 2 years!!! Depends where you are as far as suggesting where you should go... if you're in the south the I wouldn't consider anywhere other than The Phirm They really know what they're doing and don't charge the earth! Good luck what ever you decide...
Crasher 3 Posted October 9, 2006 The most common cause of this is a faulty distributor, new from VW they are less than £100.

mistrall 0 Posted October 10, 2006 dont fret my freind , does sound like the guys above says , could be one of a few things , to me sounds like the air/fuel mix is wrong
nocrap 0 Posted October 10, 2006 Agreed, dont worry yet! Start with the easy stuff, check/change the sparkplugs, HT leads, dizzy cap, blast out the throttle body and ISV with carb cleaner and make sure you have no leaky hoses.
