dazfxvw 0 Posted October 10, 2006 Hi all I brought some eibach anti roll bars for my Golf G60 some time ago, but I never got around to fitting them. Now that I have decided to 4X4 the G60 and won't be able to use the ARB's, I was wondering if I would be able to put them on the VR (Raddo). What I need to know is, are the VR6 & G60 front arb's the same size length, shape etc (I know the VR's is thicker) and if they are would I be able to drill & tap a thred into the end of the roll bar, so that it can be mounted to a VR. Any ideas? DAZ
PhatVR6 0 Posted October 10, 2006 no, the VR6 ones attach with a drop link bolted into the end. subrames are the smae shape though so it should fit that OK. I guess you could cut them down and thread the end of the bar to accpet the link though.
dazfxvw 0 Posted October 10, 2006 I was thinking that the VR's longer wishbones would counter the drop link problem, the mounting hole seem's further out than the golf's.
Crasher 3 Posted October 14, 2006 No as PhatVR6 rightly says, the front bar will not fit as the link is bolted into the bar from below rather than slid over from above the wishbone.
