Dutch24V 0 Posted October 22, 2006 It would seem I spoke to soon about clearance issues as the 24v intake manifold fouls on the VR fan assembly :( Does anyone manufacture a bolt on slim-line fan for the Corrado VR6 radiator, or is it a question of getting one and making some brackets to mount it? Any recomendations? H&RRA, was it you selling some a week or so back? If not who ever it was do you still have them? Cheers, Dutch
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted October 22, 2006 You have to make the brackets to fit the fans,I've got two 10 fans and one 12 spal fan for sale.
bigpants baby 0 Posted October 22, 2006 told you there wont be a lot of room, ive had to put a 12" spal on the front on me rad.
Dutch24V 0 Posted October 22, 2006 bigpants baby, Yep  Any pics of your setup? How much are you asking for the 12" Spal CorradoVR6-n.o.s ? Any pics too btw? How hard/much work is it to make the brackets then? Dutch
Dutch24V 0 Posted October 22, 2006 Stan24v, are you using the original VR fans then? Dutch
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted October 22, 2006 The 12" fan is just the right height for the VR radiator,so you wont need to make brackets, just add some holes and pop rivets top and bottom, easy. They work Allot better than the stock fans aswell. £45 + postage.
Dutch24V 0 Posted October 22, 2006 CorradoVR6-n.o.s, Sounds easy enough. How does it wire in though as the oe fans have 2 connectors and 3 speeds? I'm interested in the 12 inch one provisionally, but need to sort some funds first as it's end of month for me. Would the end of next week be ok? Stan 24v 0 Posted October 22, 2006 I am mate. I just remembered, Andy cut a little bit out of the bracket I think, but not much. I'll get some pics tomorrow.
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted October 22, 2006 One good thing about the slim line is they are a fraction of the weight of the big twin fans..

Dutch24V 0 Posted November 5, 2006 Stupid question but when the fan is mounted behind the radiator I presume it blows the air out the front instead of sucking it in?? Dutch
Dutch24V 0 Posted November 5, 2006 ...just did some research and it would seem the airflow must be towards the engine  Dutch
StormchargedVR6 0 Posted November 5, 2006 ...just did some research and it would seem the airflow must be towards the engine  Dutch Fan sucks air though the radiator

CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted November 5, 2006 It just depends were you mount the fans,if its behind the rad then it sucks,if in front then it blows.
Stan 24v 0 Posted January 5, 2007 I'll get some photos when i get it back,i've put a 12" spal on the front of the rad. Did you take any?
CrazyDave 0 Posted January 5, 2007 CorradoVR6-n.o.s, £45 + VAT, who was that from? I've just removed the standard fan tray from my VR. It is bl**dy heavy!
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted January 5, 2007 I bought that a while back and have since then sold it. bought them two for 70 quid off E-Bay and they were both Spal fans,MUCH better than the stock fans by far !
