Isn't the 3.6 already in US spec Passat VR's, should be a nice sub-S4 type car, pity the B6 Passat is so pig ugly

i heard it has a weird piston arrangement the pistons dont do straight down the track of the conrod but are offset to keep the bottom of the bores apart

result being it may not be any bigger than the r32 which means i want 1!!! with a supercharger!!!!!

The second engine appears to have unequal length inlet tracts, ala Schrick VGI..... nice one.

 

I read in Autocar that the R36 might be appearing in a 4x4 Iroc in 2008.....but who knows if that's true or not. Historically the top Corrado did get more power than the top Golf, so it might be true.
