dnac 0 Posted December 14, 2006 On my 2.0ltr 16 v I think i am having probs Firstly is it normal for the top an bottom hose to become very presurised? I have opened the expansion tank (when cold) and after a while there are large bubbles coming out, and eventually the water itself comes out. The temprature is while standing just above 90 and the oil is geting as high as 110 deg but no warning lights come on, am I worrying over nothing, or is there something amiss Please help as its driving me mad with worry!! Thanks Dave
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 14, 2006 Does the fan come on at all? If so, what temp does it come on? Try changing the rad fan switch- cheap and easy to do.
nocrap 0 Posted December 14, 2006 I think stage one comes in around 95*c and then stage two at around 110 - 115*c. 90* for the water is fine although while standing i would expect it to get a bit higher, 110* for oil is a high.... but then if the thermostat or water pump or knackered then the water wouldn't be going around the engine, heating up the water and cooling down the engine/oil. Get that stat changed before you start to panic!
Supercharged 2 Posted December 14, 2006 dnac, please keep to your existing thread http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=50615 It's completly pointless starting a new thread about the same problem, just 'bump' the old one.
