Mancorr 0 Posted January 4, 2007 My car is in with mechanics and they have said that the matrix, water pump, thermostat are all ok. Its the by-pass valve thing that sits at the top of engine bay that is causing me to have no heat :( Ive heard that this valve thing can be by-passed with some copper tubing? Any ideas on this....if it can then what size copper pipe do i need and do i need a T piece bit of tubing? Any advice would be great as im driving with 12 layers of clothing on

Mancorr 0 Posted January 4, 2007 Its some sort of valve thing.....will take a pic of it in a mo'. Mechanic said it could be by-passed. I have heard of a few people doing this on Golf GTI 16v's.
