audi tt dash in early 1990 rado

hey guys

 

just offered a tt dash at a good price with everything. Question is guys how easy is it to install?? is it a weekend DIY job?? or should i get a pro to do it??

 

also anyone know if it will fit perfectly or will it need mods??

Jay is your man as his was definately a tt dash. His name on here is 24v Renshaw i believe

When I asked J about fitting one of these he went sort of pale. Aparrently this was a right sod of a job. the fitting was tricky and then the various wiring looms were the bigest headache ever.

 

I would suggest from that, it might not be a weekend DIY job.

cheers goldie it does look good only half finished.

 

as zippyvr6 says its not a weekend diy job you have all the wiring to consider and the heater pipes etc.

its going to have the climatronic but i don't know about the sat nav i would really like one of them car computers then it can control everything.

I asked biggerbigben about how he installed his TVR dash at ed38, I was like "...blimey" at the end!

 

Some serious amount of work, Jay's would've probably been less I thought but still a lot of time/elbow grease.

 

But the results make it damn well worth it :cool:
