What BHP & Torque Should Be Expected?

Recommended Posts

Hi all! A mate of mine has just added a few new parts to his M reg Corrado VR6 along with a some head work...

The head has been big valved and gas flowed and ported to mate up with a supersprint exhaust manifold with full de-cat and cat back. Also added was a BMC CDA enclosed induction kit.

What sort of bhp/torque figures should he hope to achieve? Obviously at the end of the day its all just pub talk and of course most RR's arnt that good anyways, but ballpark figures would be nice to know?

Me and one of my mates both drive modded Ibiza Cupras...

1 at 252bhp/275ft/lbs (peaking at around 5500rpm)

1 at 220bhp/261ft/lbs (peaking at around 4500rpm)

How would the Corrado fair up to them?

No not remapped as yet, 210/220 was about what we'd guessed. And that asuming of course then engines been looked after. What sort of torque figure should it be seeing?

Also, can anyone recomend a good remap?

Sounds good, thanks for that. Being a NA engine it should also hold that curve longer than the Ibiza's though surely, our 1.8T's curves do drop soon after peaking. Cheers for that guys. :)

Stealth Racing are highly recommended for a decent remap. Is it still running standard cams? if so get a set of cams in there something like 268's or 264's.
