mic_VR 3 Posted January 17, 2007 They look ok, but could you not just refurb your own ones? Tappet Refurb
steve @ 0 Posted January 17, 2007 I could do but after 150ki ts probably best to renew them. I ve always been advised when changing cams to renew the followers. Just wondered if anyone has used these makes before.
mic_VR 3 Posted January 17, 2007 Well i've never used these tappets but I have used luk stuff before and it's always been pretty good. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with them as I'm hoping to do something similar myself soon but I was just going to refurb mine.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted January 18, 2007 Make sure you use INA tappets (it's stamped on the underside of the bucket) as they are the proper ones VW use. Ignore the Febi Bilstein packaging, they're usually always INA if bought from GSF, but get them to check first.... and that's where I'd get them from personally to be sure you're getting the right ones. Don't use tappets that have no markings at all as they're rubbish.
