VR6 Hydraulic followers

I ve got a set of 264 which i'll be throwing in soon so going to change the followers as is recomended.

I ve come across a guy on ebay who selling these very cheaply £65 for a set of 12 delivered!!!!

Only question is will these be a load of balls? will be made by either luk or febi bilstein.

I could do but after 150ki ts probably best to renew them. I ve always been advised when changing cams to renew the followers. Just wondered if anyone has used these makes before.

Well i've never used these tappets but I have used luk stuff before and it's always been pretty good. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with them as I'm hoping to do something similar myself soon but I was just going to refurb mine.

Make sure you use INA tappets (it's stamped on the underside of the bucket) as they are the proper ones VW use.

 

Ignore the Febi Bilstein packaging, they're usually always INA if bought from GSF, but get them to check first.... and that's where I'd get them from personally to be sure you're getting the right ones.

 

Don't use tappets that have no markings at all as they're rubbish.
