What brake set-up?

I'm looking for some front brakes to upgrade to for around £400. I've had a look through the site and have seen brembo brakes for£745 ish but I can get Tar-ox brakes for a very similar price.

 

Can anyone suggest any for around 400ish that are worth buying?

need to be lookin at 4/6 pot combo for 300 odd bhp.running tarox 6pots on the front with standard set up on the back-on a sc mk3 vr.the six pots are all you willever need-AWESOME combo imho.

I'm looking for either Brembo 4pots or Tar-ox 6 pots for a 4 stud fitment, does anyone know the best place to buy these or have some laying around they want to sell?

For that price, 312mm of a TT or Audi are about the only option.........just noticed you said 4 stud?? On a VR??? Try Brembos off a Seat Leon, I think they fit on the 4 stud with the right adaptors......

craziscot, Yep 4 stud on a VR, wasn't always a VR you see, it use to be a G60. It's the Seat Leon Brembo's I'm looking for. Any idea how much?

Ahh all makes sense now...

 

I found a set (front and rear) on E Bay about 2 months ago going for about £1k, try find a part they have contacts with lots of breakers yards etc....

craziscot, 1K!!!!!!!! you've got to be joking.......I'd prefer a Tar.ox set-up for that price. I'm thinking £450 for brembos.

 

I'll check out ebay, you never know what's on there.

i reckon you could get a set of used brembos for 350-400 depending on pad and disc wear - and also what hoses are used.

 

for 1k i'd get an ap racing kit
