pixie 0 Posted October 19, 2003 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all, im looking for some advice on dropping a VR6 into a mk2 golf! it will not be me doing the converson! A few mechanic mates of mine are up for the job! i just really want some advise that i can give them! i am fitting g60 or vr6 breaks so i belive they will be fine! also a tdi or a vr6 radiator! what else will i need to change over or consider? do i need to change the subframe or will the standard mk2 subframe be ok? anyother advise on this will be greatly accepted! cheers all!! Henny 0 Posted October 19, 2003 AFAIK you do have to modify the subframe, but some tuning places do a custom subframe that will save you a lot of headaches. corradovr6sc 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Use a corrado vr6 front subframe and a golf/corrado vr6 rear subframe with the rear engine mount cut down. Best to use the plus suspension, wishbones driveshafts and hubs of a vr6 (5 stud). Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
