Engine cover, Is the oil cap hole needed?

Been having a think and wanting to get rid of the oil filler cap so have a smooth engine cover. I will still have the screw cap there but just covered. Apart from neding to remove the cover if i need to fill up, which in the 6 months of having the car i've not need to yet, will it cause any other problems?

Nope, wouldnt have thought so, how you gonna remove the enigne cover if you need a topup in a hurry??

You might be able to use an L-shaped bit of samco hose and a funnel - just pop it onto the crankcase breather flange as and when required...

why....its like solid inlet manifolds,welded up and smoothed so you have to take off the hole manifold just to change plugs.

 

Is it just me?
