Rear wheel too far forward, past accident problem?

some people form another forum have said in this pic, the rear wheel is in totally the wrong place, i put the coilovers on the last thred so i put it down to that...

i think its normal when you lower the car that much cos of the way the rear axle is hinged

-Neil-, Measure from centre to centre of each wheel if both sides are the same then:

 

a/ It's ok

b/ It's been hit really well to keep the beam straight.. :lol:

 

From looking at J-BOB's air-ride video I think the rears do tuck slightly....

Yeah the rears do tuck in if you drop a car that far.. its just not designed to go that low and thats what happens! If you look for pictures of scruffydubber's old valver, he used to have that absolutely slammed to the floor and the rear wheels were starting to tuck inwards into the rear arch..

I noticed the same thing with my one. Just fitted coilies as well so I'd say it was normal. They sat fine before I droped it.

It's on a swing arm. If you swing the arm UP past horizontal with ultra-short shocks/springs, then it stands to reason that the wheel will be further forward in the body.

In the 'raised' pictures it looks the same both sides, so while knacked rear beam bushes may be contributing, I think the problem is that it's just too low...

LOL - the 'raised' pics are lower than i'd ever dare!!! - you must have some flat roads!!!
