Yandards 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Bit of a bargin there, could do with a couple of sets of these, mostly for aluminum lightness mmnn.
Jim 2 Posted February 21, 2007 Actually there are a few cheapy sets if you scout around on the Bay... when i'm ready to get some, I think i'll be going there rather than brand new from VAG!

eatthis 0 Posted March 4, 2007 whats needesd for the conversion just the callipers?
Supercharged 2 Posted March 4, 2007 You also need the mk2 to banjo conversion hoses that C&R sell... It's a good upgrade as they are light and have a much better handbrake mech but I would stay away from second hand parts unless the condition is very good as they still go wrong as much as the old mk2 style calipers, just in different ways like seized bleed nipples and alloy corrosion. Also good idea to paint new ones - just look at the state of them on any 5-6 year old mk4...

ardandy 0 Posted May 3, 2007 I've just being told that the MK3 Calipers are a straight swap and are more reliable than the MK4's?
dinkus 10 Posted May 3, 2007 They are a straight swap, but don't think they're more reliable... never know tho.
ardandy 0 Posted May 3, 2007 It was Andy at PSI Tuning that said it. Are the MK3's alloy or just as heavy as standard ones? Cheers!
