Using the wiki guide I picked out the following parts to order to do the chains and clutch, can anybody advise wether I should add anything to this list (or remove), thanks.

7307725 Clutch clutch kit; p/plate, f/plate, release bearing 021198141AX £120.00

£364.94 inc Vat. (ouch..) :(

I was going to do the tappets aswell as the engine is quite tappy from cold, but have been advised that could be down to poor oil pressure/worn guides? So I'm tempted to leave them off the list as that'll prob be another £100 on top.

Cheers.

Yes. It does seem to be enormously expensive, doesn't it ? It goes on the vertical face of the block/head where the two halves of the timing cover bolt up to it, and probably on the horizontal faces between the covers and the head gasket extension as well. Be especially careful not to block the oil feed to the top tensioner bolt.

Best wishes

Yes a tad expensive, but it is really excellent stuff - I've not seen better over the years.

Thanks for the info RS VR6, but I need the parts by this weekend so they have now been ordered. Pi**es me off big time by how much we get ripped off in this country. :censored: I really cant believe the difference in price..

Cheers.

Alot of the parts are OEM (Original Parts Manufacturer) manufacturers such as Bosch, Wahler...etc. If its OEM...it'll normall say next to the description.

He also does supply some Brazilian made parts too, but in those cases he will offer a choice. With the Brazilian parts being cheaper than the German ones.
