Hass 0 Posted April 11, 2007 Hello!, My Engines messed up on my current Corrado, Ive spent loads on other bits bringing it back to life and didnt want to sell it after so many birthdays worth of money going into it, Found a Engine and bits at a really good price just wanted to make sure it had nothing missing as i was planning to put a normal 9A engine back in but wanted something with more grunt! Goldie 2 Posted April 11, 2007 I dont blame you for keeping the car but i think id be wanting to put something a little different in.. 1.8t or 24v or such alike... The 1.8t is meant to be a straightforward job....
Hass 0 Posted April 11, 2007 Its sourcing a decent Engine, Plus the costs ive been given to carry out a Turbo conversion to a VR6 is about £2k difference, they Company im using is voodoomotorsports.co.uk, They specialise in V-Dub conversions and said it was the easiest option for me as i can always put a super charger on later in life? C. Will Corrado G60 2 0 Posted April 11, 2007 I converted my 1991 G60 to a VR6 earlier this year. Putting VR6 in a Corrado is pretty easy, there where a few bits which I needed to change. Here's a list of the major parts require Engine/ Gearbox Engine loom with fan relay Key reader around barrel Transponder box with loom to Key reader and OBD2 port (this will change if OBD1) Corrado front cross member from VR6 Corrado Airbox and 4 pin air mass meter There were a few other bits and piece need along the way too but can't remember. The following items I didn't bother with as I was not changing the hubs etc NO DRIVESHAFTS NO HUBS/DISCS/ NO REAR SUBFRAME NO POWER STEERING RACK Hope this helps.
