Ronan 0 Posted May 6, 2007 I had been planning on building a big power 8v G60 for my Corrado while the bodywork is being done, ie big valve head and 2l bottom end, and with the spec I had planned would be looking at at least 250bhp, safely. However, I got an email from Bahn Brenner the other day saying they are now producing their 16v Integration kit again, which is very tempting. I could potentially still build it up to a 2ltr with a 9a crank. I want to know the pro's and cons of the two engines, ie will the raised rev limit on a 16v completely rape my charger, and are they reliable or not? Would I be better off sticking 8v? Opinions, and facts please
Riley 0 Posted May 6, 2007 Ive always thought best to go for a diffarent charger on the 16v...one that can cope with higher rpm,as thats what the 16v is about...being wound up. 8)
flusted 0 Posted May 6, 2007 surely if you run a near standard size pulley, it should be ok for 7000rpm?
