VR6 South 0 Posted May 7, 2007 My rad fans come on after the ignition is switched off even if the engine hasn't run and is stone cold. They turn on and off for no apparent reason and stop if I remove and then replace the 20a fuse which supplies the relay. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Toad 0 Posted May 7, 2007 I think there is a temperature sender somewhere that is playing up. Not sure where though on a VR.
dr_mat 0 Posted May 7, 2007 So - you have an aftermarket headlight loom, and your rad fans are going bonkers. I wonder if the two are connected? Who hacked about your headlight loom, and when did the rad fans start playing up?
VR6 South 0 Posted May 7, 2007 So - you have an aftermarket headlight loom, and your rad fans are going bonkers. I wonder if the two are connected? Who hacked about your headlight loom, and when did the rad fans start playing up? I fitted the loom about 6 years ago and have had no problems until now. I'm putting the fans going weird as a coinsidence (at the moment).
VR6 South 0 Posted June 29, 2007 All fixed now. The fans were playing up due to a faulty temp sender and a fuse to my lights had fallen out :D
