KieranM 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Hi, I need my head gasket doing on my vr6 but thought i'd see if any one recommended any other things to replace whilst doing it (obviously gaskets, bolts etc but i mean like the chain tensioners - although would this be much extra work?) Also, was thinking bout getting another head and sorting that such as porting and polishing etc firstly what head work would be recommended (new valves? tappets? skimming?), and also would a GOLF 2.8 head fit my CORRADO 2.9 whilst keeping the same power? or are they different in any way? M15 VW 0 Posted May 9, 2007 If you are just doing the head gasket, the only real thing to check is the top tensioner. The 2.8 head is the same as the 2.9 head. The vr6 doesnt really respond well to head work. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
