tug 0 Posted November 8, 2003 Does anyone know where I can get a workshop manual for a Corrado? Apparently, Haynes don't do one & VW weren't any help when I asked them! Need to strip & rebuild my gearbox... Thanks.
belfastfumanchu 0 Posted November 8, 2003 I just read Supercharged's message on another post with an answer to your Q. "Halfords do the Porter manual for a fiver, or Haynes manuals for similar age cars will be fine for brakes and other components shared across the VW range - Passat, Golf etc... The best and only true manual for the corrado is the Bentley - not the best at explaining how to do things as its aimed at trained mechanics for reference but the diagrams are superb and it has wiring diags for the whole car!" tug 0 Posted November 11, 2003 Cheers for the advice... Might just get the Bentley manual then, me old man's been a mechanic for almost 40 years! :D
Henny 0 Posted November 11, 2003 I'm pretty certain that the gearbox is the same as the one in the same aged passat... The Haynes manual for that IS available easily and cheaply and is pretty good for gearbox work... 8) Can anyone confirm if I'm right about the Passat box? :?:
tug 0 Posted November 11, 2003 Yeah, I'm sure its the same box. Changed the gearbox in my 16V with a Passat one anyway...no problems so far! :D
