RallyRaddo 0 Posted August 19, 2007 Just ordered a replacemet ITG Filter from Merlin Motorsport (Pt No WB481). I used a competition ITG Filter on my rally prepared Discovery for years and wondered if anyone's used this make on a Corrado? Curious about any improvements noticed. Cheers Kev

RallyRaddo 0 Posted August 19, 2007 Yes, direct replacement for the standard one Kev
jonnyboyo 0 Posted August 21, 2007 How much was it mate? The K&N filters on Rado's tend to give a crisper throttle response and a deeper induction note. I guess the ITG would be the same. A common mod is to drill the airbox WING SIDE ONLY and/or remove the snorkel from the front of the airbox which restricts the airflow.

jonnyboyo 0 Posted August 21, 2007 Nice one. About the same price as the K&N. Will be interesting to see what difference it makes as i want to fit a uprated panel filter.

Very little difference from a standard clean paper element, just knock the dead flies out of it occasionally, Jetex panel filters are much the same too. Don't forget to clean and re-oil them occasionally, they do tend to get a bit clogged with oil from the breather mainly, but it takes a couple of years to get really bad on a sound engine. jonnyboyo 0 Posted August 21, 2007 Any difference on a (slow) valver would be good for me! When you say little difference Dave, is that with just the filter or airbox mods to?
RallyRaddo 0 Posted August 24, 2007 According to my neighbour, a few doors down, it is louder. She sent me a text yesterday thanking her for waking her up as I left the drive and drove past her house, waking her up, allowing her to get the refuse out in time for collection lorry, LOL Kev
