Can someone post a pic of their batt mount?

Hell, the battery is loose on my 16v, I cannot see how to secure it so could someone post a picture of theirs secured please I'll be able to work it out from that!

I haven't got a photo to hand but there should be a small clamp at the front of the battery tray that is held down by a 13mm (i think) bolt, the opposite side of the battery is sort of wedged under a non removalble ledge. Hope this helps.

Hello,

 

You should need a small strip of plastic that clips onto the bottom front of the battery to ensure a good fit to the car. The battery clamp is located at the front centre of the battery area and is held in by a single bolt, if you just have a rusty hole, oh er!, then you will need a new clamp.

 

The new one from VW comes with an extra bit on it, this needs to be cut off.
