chrishill 0 Posted November 11, 2003 my cars getting resprayed next week and to coincide with its shiny new paint i'd like to get the window rubbers back to being nice and black, along with the gutter strips on the roof. I very much doubt if good old back to black is right for the job, so what do i use? (window rubbers had been 'waxed' by the previous owner shortly before i got the car... )

stevemac 0 Posted November 12, 2003 I use Meguiars "Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant" - available from most, quaility, car accessory shops. It's great for dashboards, centre consoles, tyre sidewalls, window rubbers, etc storm81 - have you seen the price of new window rubbers ?? (£200 per door just for the front/top seal !!) Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 12, 2003 How about getting some new window rubbers ? They're a bit tricky to get hold of, or were at least when I needed mine. Between GPC and VAG, there were only 3 in the country, and I bought 2 of them  Hopefully they'll have some more by now. Depending on chassis number, window seals will cost you anywhere from £40 a side to £150+ a side :? Kev
