Yandards 0 Posted November 12, 2007 You could but it is a monster pain, the wiring is far too much to work as it is almost a complete strip of the car to fit.
junkie 0 Posted November 12, 2007 I dont have it on my G60 H plate 91 and to be honest i dont want the car deciding when to intervene whilst im driving, just upgrade your front brake set up to some nice 4 pots.
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted November 12, 2007 I've retro fitted few ABS units into MK2 ect..the loom is separate and all it needs is a few lives and earth to work and is not that much of a arse to fit, there will be holes on the bulk head already for the ABS unit and grommet holes in the back to feed the wires to the hubs, and yes you will need to change over all the hubs and rear discs. Is it worth it? Depends on your driving style or if your just saftey conscious
potatonet 0 Posted November 13, 2007 yeah I wanted to do this to my car as well... ah another project. I didnt think it would really be that hard to fit... pulling the seats and the carpet only takes like 20 mins the rears are easy because they just have a little spring fitting thing that is the ABS the front hubs just need to be ABS hubs. apparently if you want to run Girling 60 calipers having ABS is a must ( the MC is 23mm instead of 22mm (makes a difference apparently)) either way ABS is a great addition (not for weight distribution though...)
