rajarella 0 Posted November 13, 2007 Just wondered what garages in the Cardiff area people on here use to get work done on their rados? Rich
Walesy 0 Posted November 13, 2007 I used to use N&G motors in Splott,02920 461 661 They're not the cheapest but their service is great and they're trustworthy etc. They're on Portmanmoor rd lane (behind the Fleurs pub)

saysomestuff 0 Posted November 19, 2007 Heard good stuff about Dubusiness in Bridgend too. Never used them myself but Gareth is a sound bloke.
rajarella 0 Posted November 19, 2007 Dubusiness is who I have been using up until but I want somewhere closer to my work and house. Bons is flat out all the time (probably a sign of his reputation) as well so you end up having to leave your car with him for longer than would be expected which can be awkward, especially if your C is your daily drive like mine. rajarella 0 Posted November 22, 2007 Just got my C back from NG Motors. I have to see I am very happy. Service was superb, they fixed a problem caused by my previous garage in less than 2 hours when the aforementioned couldn't fix it in 5 days. Reasonable pricing as well I thought, may be slightly more expensive but I am more than happy to pay a small premium for quality service and work. Really good recommend Walesy thanks. jonnyboyo 0 Posted November 22, 2007 Did you have to book it in days in advance mate? What was wrong with your car as a matter on interest?
rajarella 0 Posted November 22, 2007 Yeah I booked it a couple of days in advance. I think it was Monday morning I rang and it went in this morning. As for what was wrong, I had polybushes fitted and the car was way off handling wise. When I looked I noticed the front inside bolt on the drivers side wishbone was only being held in place by the sump. I took it back and they couldn't get it in properly so they just welded it in place. Suffice to say the weld lasted about a day before it broke (it was a bad idea anyway because it was never going hold the wishbone firm). So I took it into NG and they lifted the engine, removed the bolt and said the thread had been stripped. They put a new longer bolt in that caught the thread further in and it has tightened up lovely. They also went around and tightened the rest of the bolts while they were at it. Rich No worries, glad they sorted your problem out. Finding a garage that actually takes pride in what they're doing and take the problem on as theirs is rare tbh - and the other thing I like about N&G is that they're not egotistic like other 'VAG Specialists'
rajarella 0 Posted November 25, 2007 I agree with you 100%, trust is a big factor as well. I don't suppose you can recommend somewhere for me to get my suspension and tracking setback up as well?
