Steve16v 0 Posted November 29, 2007 Small problem but it has been niggling at me. The ambient temp reading on the MFA has been reading -40 Degrees C on the car since I got it. From reading other posts if the sensor is knackered or disconnected the Temp display should be bypassed when cycling through the displays on the MFA. I checked the sensor (I presume it is a thermistor) there on the weekend and its resistance changes when I blow hot air across it... so that would indicate to me that it is working. Am I looking at a short or a dodgy earth? Has this happened to anyone else? Cheers :)

Steve16v 0 Posted November 30, 2007 I came across a post where another guy was having the same problem but there was nothing in the thread about a solution. Any ideas?

Steve16v 0 Posted December 12, 2007 @ paul20v PM sent Bump... any members come across this sensor reading before and have any suggestions to what may be at fault?
The_Dude 0 Posted December 12, 2007 Have you checked all the wiring after the temp sensor? I guess getting out the multimeter and checking everything should be your first step?
