Sound deadening from Noise Killer

Recommended Posts

Hello and Happy New year to you all

I got a sound deadening kit form Noise Killer for a vr bonnet and its over size but they keep telling me that it will fit my bonnet. So I went to the stealer ship and got there sound deadening kit and the Noise Killer one is 1cm to 2cm over size can anyone tell me if they are had the same thing happen to them.Or has any one had one of these kits.

Thanks Daniel

Yep, I got an underbonnet kit from NoiseKiller for my G60 and it was too big. To be honest, I saw it as them giving you more than enough material to do the job, and that they're expecting you to do a bit of trimming rather than it being a straight fit. Good stuff it is.

Agreed it is good stuff, but for a good fit you really need to take time to make templates from the underside of the bare bonnet.

Unless you could use the original VAG kit you bought as a template, use the noisekiller, and return the VAG stuff for a refund?

Good luck either way...

Why not use both, Noisefiller with teh VAG stuck on top of it. That way you've covered soundproofing from all angles.

You could i suppose, just don't know how well the Noisekiller would adhere to the VAG soundproofing?
