Kaktus 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Hi Guys. I plan on getting my cams reground. What i would like to know is what degree should i go for. I don't want to buy billets at this time. Mods done to the car so far is: ported/polished head intake has been match ported to the head. air box mod. 57mm stainless steel exhaust with satndard exhaust manifold running standard k/jet btw it is a 1.8 16v KR I was thinking about either 268/276 or 276/276 reground cams? Keeping in mind that the car is not being driven daily, it's my weekend toy..... :D Thnks guys.
davidwort 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Have a search on the Club GTI forum, there's been more people on there with modified K-jet 16v cars running aftermarket cams, they'll be better placed to recommend lift/duration on exhaust and inlet, depends what you are after torque/power wise, but from what I recall some can be a b1tch to set up spot on. It's also worth remembering that any loss of low end torque to gain top end power will be more noticeable on the corrado as it's a fair bit heavier than a mk2 16v golf.
