VR chains labour query

Recommended Posts

Are you talking about just the box off and nothing else? if i was doing it no more than a couple hours if that..

What else would need to come off? Reason i ask is im having the clutch changed and dont know if its worth getting it all done while the box is off?

3-4 hours should be there abouts the time reqired to fit chains, do the various checks, replace covers and flywheel. Theres the guts of a days work to replace clutch, gearbox, rad and front of the car if removed. Just take the extra time in checking that all is set right. I have to strip mine again due to the possiblity of being Half tooth off :(

 I'd say even if you've done it before a couple of times it would take more time than that to just strip all the bits off to get to the chains and built it back up again...
