gecko 0 Posted January 14, 2008 Ive got some spare alloys solitudes off a golf highline, and they have 195/50/15s toyo's t1s on which are very good. Does anyone run a vr6 on 195's does it make much differrence ? Alternatively i was thinking of using the best of 195's on the front and best of the existing 205's re030 on the back any opinons on this ? ad
Supercharged 2 Posted January 14, 2008 Altho i'm sure it will be fine, you can't really do this without invalidating your insurance...
was8v 0 Posted January 14, 2008 I asked this question not long ago but decided to stick wth 205s. I suppose if you told your insurers there wouldn't be a problem. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=62379
gecko 0 Posted January 14, 2008 dont see why having narrower tyres affects the insurance !!
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted January 15, 2008 Because technically it's a modification and if you go and stick H rated 195s on your car, which blow out past 120mph and kill you, it's your own fault for being cheap with tyres......the one part that matters the most. I used to work for an Insurance company and I know that is precisely the kind of excuse they would use to avoid paying out. Golden rule: Declare EVERYTHING, no matter how minor and they have no leg to stand on.
