quicky1980 0 Posted February 18, 2008 Now I have my converted VR6 I thought I would be kind enough to let teh DVLA know that it is no longer a 16V. because I did the work myself the RAC or the AA need to carry out an inspection report. Great more money!! How do I go about this? Is there another way for me to get the DVLA papers up to date? thanks
sssmk1 0 Posted February 18, 2008 As far as i know there is no need to get a RAC or AA report, just fill in number 7 on the log book where it says "Changes to current vehicle" put down the new engine number and cylinder capacity then send it off to DVLA. Thats what i did last year they will then send you a new log book with the new engine details.
boost monkey 0 Posted February 18, 2008 Yeah, as long as your tax bracket doesn't change I'm not sure they care. When I changed a 1.6 8v to a 1.9 16v I didn't bother telling them.
