lambda sensor help PLEASE

Recommended Posts

what are the consiquences of running the car with the lambda sensor unplugged

why

i had the exhaust build last saturday since the the cars been getting worse

the car ticks over fine and runs ok untill your sitting at the lights or waiting in traffic

go to pull away and it wont pull awaythen the revs build up little back fire and then you pull away

got under the car and the sensor was loose and rattling around so took it back and the guy tighten

it up said that should make a difference it has its now worse

if i unplug the sensor it runs ok

HELP

Check that the sensor is not fouling the heat sheild stuff and not shorting. You will get lousy fuel consumption too if it is.

Worth a look at the wires to make sure he hasn't twisted them to death and pulled 'em off
