pipe blockled with a bolt ???

hi Guys

on changing my heater matrix return pipe to the middle of the block i noticed on the back of the plentum camber right underneath the thottle flaps a 1/4 inch pipe hanging down about 3 inches long blocked off with a 10mm bolt any ideas why this has been done

 

runing a 89 g red G60 1.8

Isn't anything to worry about. it means your carbon cannister has been removed (along with a load of redundant pipework). Search for Carbon Cannister Removal and G60, and hopefully all will become clear.
