donnyburger 0 Posted April 19, 2008 Hey guys, anyone had a problem with the cae continuing to run when ignition is switched off? First time it was quit amusing, as i had the key in my pocket and the car was still running! Second time has become annoying though. Have to stall to stop. Any advice or just a technical gremlin? Supercharged 2 Posted April 19, 2008 As above or running rich - thermotime switch maybe faulty if it's a KR engine?
donnyburger 0 Posted April 19, 2008 Sorry, it's ABV VR6 (i think ABV, it's a 12v coilpack). Others have said it may ne the ignition pack. Cheers
paul20v 0 Posted April 20, 2008 hi ignition switch rich fuel or to much carbon build up depends if its a horrible running on or if its sounds normal when its doing it it cant be the ignition pack unless its still got a voltage going to it and that would be the ign switch
nocrap 0 Posted April 20, 2008 Not knowing the engine doesn't help....i had (touching wood) a similar problem on my 16v 9a, changed the 5th (cold start) injector gasket and haven't had the problem since....coincidence maybe.
