HT leads - if it's not broke, should I fix it?

Recommended Posts

About 18 months ago, my car died. The AA came out, and spotted that one of the HT leads had melted at the connector. I bought a new set and took it to a mate who helped me replace it (I was a completely novice back then. Whereas now, I'm in the total amateur league  )

It was only one of the cables that needed replacing, and his attitude was "The rest of these are pukka, if it's not broke, don't fix it".

18 months later, and there are still no problems, but I have a (nearly complete) set of new leads here, which I can't sell. Should I replace them, or just leave them be?

Cheers.

Keep them for spares.

Don't sell them AND "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

I used to be a detail whore, but now I'm purely functional: fix stuff when it breaks, upgrade stuff if it's easily justifiable.

hth,

Jon.

i'd of swapped them all and kept the old as spares, but i spose it doesn't really matter.
