Anyone from the Mighty Staffs? In particular Leek?

Hi,

 

I moved to Leek in Staffordshire recently. It's a quiet, sleepy market town, but appears to be covered in wall-to-wall Dubs. I've seen two C's today, a Scirroco, and the number of sweetly done up Mk2 and 3 Golfs is ridiculous. Plus there's an insane number of Seats and Audis. Anyone on here from roundabout? Easily enough people to organise a mini-festival/get-together/piss-up.

 

One C in particular was gorgeous. Blue, with crystal in-pros and Borbets I think (saw it from a distance)

Reason I ask is that I was parked up in Penkridge about 5pm yesterday and saw a guy get out of a M plate Blue VR in the next car park.

My C was in Leek a few weeks ago...for a service.

There's a brilliant specialist VAG garage there called A&C Vehicle Services - I honestly bet they know most of the VW's you've been seeing.

Can't recommend them enough - have been going there for years with my cars. It's about an hours drive each way for me so there must be something in it.

Leek's a nice place.

Thanks for the tip! My C has been running rough recently, and I took it to a garage in Barlaston which is a bit of treck. New distributor, and front pads, but it's still not perfect. Will get down there and check them out.

I'm from Newcastle which is quite near Leek and used to take my Corrado to Andy Jackson (A@C) but found a new place to go nearby (Carl @ stokevwspares) who is very good with older VWs, especially vr6s. He's quite a bit cheaper than A@C too.

Im from endon, which is about 5 mins from leek

 

Andy Jackson from A&C auto's is a very clever chap. What he doesnt know about vw's isnt really worth knowin, he's a friend of the family and have called in a few times for bits of advice and he's always happy to help
