Anyone know where I can get a US spec front bumper??

Hi guys - as title please.

I know the obvious answer will be from America but Id really like to pick one up as local as possible.

 

Or if anyone has managed to replicate the US spec bumper by using the euro one? - id be very interested how.

Bump - Come on guys someone must be able to point me in the right direction.

 

The rado is going into the bodyshop for the full works this weekend and I really wanna fit a US front bumper and delete the side repeaters.

 

Any leads would be gratefully received.

you will be very unlikely to find anyone on here or in the uk in general who has one for sale as there arent that many US spec ones over here, although they do turn up from time to time.

So if you do want a US spec bumper getting one from the US might be your best bet.

your other option is maybe getting another uk spec one, cutting the plate recess out and have it plastic welded and filled onto yours, not really much more work than getting a us spec and filling in the side repeaters.

Boostmonkey, the US bumper has no plate recess and 'cruise lights' on the sides of the bumper.

 

Coolrado - thanks for the reply mate but I dont think I was clear in my post - I actually want to relocate the side repeaters on the wings to the cruise lights in a US front bumper, The fact that they come with no number plater recess is just an added bonus.

I would look on american ebay but I dont want to risk shipping it, probably be fairly pricey to send aswell.

Do you know if the bumper will fit a late VR being that its from an early one, are they all the same?

theres a guy in the Erdigton area that breaks corrado's, hes a bit of a t**t but he has/had a us front slc bumper about a month ago, he is mates with the guy who runs TSC car sales in Swadlincote, so you may be able to get he's number off him.

Nice one Karl - ill give him a try. Erdingtons chav-city mate - theyre all like that.
