skinnyman9000 0 Posted July 1, 2008 Whats needed? I ask because i have a 1990 valver and my wheels that need fitting are 5x100 VR fitment. I was going to get some adapters, but at £150 plus shipping (and more wheel bolts) it might end up being cheaper to just convert the car to 5 stud. So, whats needed? chimo 0 Posted July 1, 2008 I think to do it right you have to go widetrack. .. I was going to do the swap w/ the 16v, but time has gotten shorter for us in england.

Question is though, am i going to be ok with 8's all round PLUS the width of the adapters? I guess i need to know the ET to know that, hmmmm
chimo 0 Posted July 2, 2008 Carl (bigpants) quoted me a great price on this stuff, which I saddly have to pass on... give him a call, you might be surprised.
skinnyman9000 0 Posted July 3, 2008 Carl (bigpants) quoted me a great price on this stuff, which I saddly have to pass on... give him a call, you might be surprised. Its more of the time constraints now, on tues im on hols until 25th, and i need to get it sorted for E38
skinnyman9000 0 Posted July 4, 2008 Well adapters wont work due to the offset of 36 on the wheels, so the fronts will be too wide, christ this is getting complicated. I might just sell them and buy some wheels that actually bloody fit!
chimo 0 Posted July 4, 2008 sucks... we're leaving england early, and I bought a set of wheels for the corrado at home... trouble is that the wheels are brutally expensive to ship home so I was planning on installing them onto the 16V... hence the info for the bolt swap... I'm on the same boat, not enough time.
carpoid 0 Posted July 5, 2008 I'm planning on doing mine too, i was going by this thread which made it look easy ........ viewtopic.php?p=657169#657169 I was going to get new rotors and bearings at the same time
skinnyman9000 0 Posted July 5, 2008 Im getting conflicting opinions because im now told that 8's with ET16 will be fine at the front, hmmmm
Walesy 0 Posted July 5, 2008 That's the 'beauty' of asking for info on internet forums i'm afraid
carpoid 0 Posted July 5, 2008 Yeah i'm getting confusious. In regards to making it wide track your offset will be different. Not sure that with those parts listed that the rear would be different though ?? Those pics in the link that i posted make it look easy, obviously worked for him ! Bahn Brenner do a 5 stud conversion kit for G60's too.
