Supercharged 2 Posted August 11, 2008 Doing a pad change on a Leon Cupra R soon... There is quite a good guide on the cupra forum but they say to lever the pistons back with a screwdriver? Is there a better method, I have the tool for the lucas / girling calipers but not sure if it will fit the brembo's with the disc in situ etc... nemesis360 0 Posted August 11, 2008 I leave the old pads in and use 2 small lever bars (wider than screwdriver so less cahnce of damaging the disks)to push the pistons back in. If you try pushing one piston or 1 side at a time the other pistons come out so its best to work out a way of doing them all at the same time
junkie 0 Posted August 11, 2008 I used a screwdriver on 1 pad only and had no issues with the pistons moving independantly too bad, only very marginally.
nemesis360 0 Posted August 12, 2008 Yeah the pistons dont come out alot its just easier and quicker to do all 4 at once (Im lazy :) )
