Jim Bowen 1 Posted August 16, 2008 got some pads with some calipers i bought, the pads are like new but have been used (not very much) but they have been put in a box with the braking surface touching the back of the next pad, meaning there is copper grease on the braking side on 3 of the 4 pads. would i be wise just to bin them and get new ones, i had planned to buy new discs and pads all around anyway so getting the pads with the calipers was an added bonus really

Supercharged 2 Posted August 16, 2008 Yeah they'll be ok as long as they are not too old - it's oil you don't want... You should always sand old pads if re-using with different discs etc
Jim Bowen 1 Posted August 16, 2008 so if i just clean them and sand a little they will be alright?
boost monkey 0 Posted August 16, 2008 yeah they'll be fine. No point chucking away nearly new pads. Or send them to me for my 280s :norty:
