The issue we have is that the original fan switch and fan have 3 wires and my new fan only has 2. can any one help me with the best way to sort this out????? many thanks i think after this it may be ready for action.......
tandino 0 Posted September 29, 2008 One wire will be permanent live, the other two are temp related for the 2 speed fan, ie one is lover temp switch and one is the high temp switch. Cant remember which one is which but it is not difficult to find out, multimeter is your friend.
G Charged 0 Posted October 4, 2008 cant remember the colours for the speeds. but you will have a solid red which is your 12v perm then the middle is the slow speed the other one is the fast speed
flusted 0 Posted October 4, 2008 The Brown is the negative, the Red/White is the 95 degree first stage and the Red/Black is the 105 degree second stage. I joined these 2 together to the live for the fan. make sure the fans wired the correct way otherwise it will ever blow up or blow instead of suck
