But, how big a job is the fitting, i have spoken to two people about it!

One says its a bit of a pain in the ass, the other says its easy enough!

i wouldnt mind the shafts being a bit pricey, but 60 in second is what you have to have!

perhaps thers this perception and i have to admit it i share it from time to time that hitting 60 in second will mean traction issues aint there as the gearing is longer.

G60 does have poor 1st n seconf though. id like it taller too.

what happens is if you are going from a standstill you get smoked in a G60 through fist n second and have to rely on third and maybe top of second to smoke people. playing catch-up aint fun.

the thing you notice most when changing gear is the car doesnt drop many revs and power seems to be more constant :)

Exactly!!!

I get 60 in second in my vr, which is very handy in some instances,

But the 6 speed is stil an option, thanks 20vee_t!

the rev limitation on a tuned G60 doesn't help things either.

need a first and second from a vr in G60 box. from what i can gather they are slightly taller and final drive may be different too. first and second are cast as one unit i believe.

also i dont mind the revs dropping as the G60 powerband can handle that. on a turbo though i wouldn't wanna keep dropping out of boost.
