fla 9 Posted December 8, 2008 My door pods squeak on the door card, its te typical plastic-against-leather (actually that part is vinyl) squeak. The pod wall is too thini to put some felt on, has anyone come up with any other inniovative solutions? BTW, you may have experienced a creaky glove box door. Having felted every potential part on it, it turns out that the creak is from the lock catch on the housing rubbing on the plastic lock face. Talcum or a piece of sponge helps here. Lufbramatt 0 Posted December 22, 2008 i had good results on the passat by folding a layer of self adhesive aluminium tape around the bottom cm or so of the door card that fits into the door pod, the tape is "slipperier" than the vynil so seems to not suffer from the sticktion effect. got the tape in Wickes, think its meant for sealing gaps in insulation etc in roofs. its very thin and can be folded into a sharp crease which it holds.
