Ferrari/Rally Experience

Recommended Posts

My girlfriend, being the absolute darling that she is, has bought me a Ferrari/Rally experience for Xmas!

Booked through treatme.net

Reading up a bit, you get full briefing on driving the Ferrari (a 355 or 360 depending on where you go), followed by around an hour in the Ferrari on the track.

After this, you practice handbrake turns/drifts on a gravel pan, and the onto a rally stage in either the Subaru WRX or the Mitsubishi Evo 7

Anyone else done one of these days? Or have any other tips in general?

Can't wait to go and do it! Gonna wait till the weather warms up a bit though first...

yeah i had one for my 21st birthday. has to be one of the best days ever!! I went with drivers dream days, they hold it on the same place as gti international this year.

Didn't get to do handbrake turns or anything like that. but did drive alot of cars. Ferrari 360, porsche 911, lotus elise, subaru WRX. the missis drove an Aston and my bro drove a Lamborghini. :D

Cant think of a better day out really

Sounds excellent mate! That wouldn't have been me at the onestop, been over Shrewsbury for a couple of days.

From Cheslyn Hay really but who's ever heard of that? lol

Depending on where it is, you can take some cash on the day and book extra drives in some of the other cars they have, be warned, it is a bit pricey and fills up quickly, but when again would you have the chance to rag a Lambo for a hundred odd quid?

They're great days out - hour in a Ferrari? I only got a few laps :p No advice really, just pitch up and have fun, any petrolhead will love it.

You got an hour

What kind of package was that then, thats awesome :D most packages just give you like 5 laps. Had been looking into doing experiences myself.

Sounds like you've got the perfect missus as well man

yeah, to be honest i'd be surprised if you got more than 15-20 mins actually driving it i'm afraid, especially with the other things it includes - the ones that give you any serious time in a supercar are well on the way to or past the £250 mark. but it still looks like you'll have a great time though!

Yeah the Tornado probably would've been my old one. Pretty sure it was the only one round here. Sadly missed (till I got the VR :D )

It reckons on the paperwork to allow for approx 4 hours there on the day? So here's hoping it WAS a £250 jobbie!! Lol (It'd better be the amount I forked out on the Tiffany set I got for her :D )

I bought Emma a rally day for valentines last year, she loved it.

She got to drive a 106 rallye, a Evo 8, a Subaru STI and we both got a flying lap in a Focus ST driven by the UK Rallycross champion.

Years ago I did one in a Escort Cosworth on gravel, that was brilliant. Was sideways everywhere!!
