Throttle Bodies...

Recommended Posts

hey all,

anyone know what the direct to head kits actually do? aside from replacing the induction system what sort of gains can be had? what does the car sound like?

i've looked at the jenvey website but to be honest i don't know what bits i'd need to do a conversion. can anyone shed any light?

cheers

You can get good power but you'd be better off by pairing it up with a flowed head, cams and other things to make the most of all the extra air you can suck in. The power is likely to be in the upper reaches of the rev range too (which is OK if that's your bag)

to be honest, i'd have them if i was minted. was really just interested in how they work and whether they are worthwhile for the cash outlay.

how would they work the metering head on the KR k-jet? would i have to purchase a standalone fuel management system too?

they are good because you can map each individual cylinder for air/fuel and still get very good idle with really lairy cams.

Yes you have to have management to control the fuelling
