Uprated/competion fuel pump

Recommended Posts

What car are you fitting it too? Your C?

Demontweeks list uprated fuel pumps in their catalogue.

If your pump was dead, a std replacement would be good enough.

the standard k jet pump can produce over 5 bar, more than both the g60 and vr6

i know somebody with a 314bhp mk2 and he is still using the k jet pump, so you ll probably be ok with it

75psi, so yep 5.35 bar. It's not so much the pressure supplied but whether or not the pump can sustain that pressure for extended periods without overheating.

OE pumps can supply a bigger fuel rail up to a point....but when you're demanding bucket loads of fuel at 4 or 5 bar in transient peaks through high flow injectors......OE pumps can't always handle it, which is where Facets come into the equasion.

See how you get on with the K jet one. When the engine is in, strap the car to the dyno and fit a pressure guage inline with the fuel supply. If the pressure drops significantly when the engine comes on boost, you need a bigger pump. Audi UR quattro pumps are man enough for such a job.
