Supercharged 2 Posted February 3, 2009 Do you mean carriers?? If so then no, the G60 / VR6 ones are different to the 8v/16v ones as they take the smaller 256mm disc.
sim0n_parker 0 Posted February 3, 2009 no the slider bolts that fit into the carrier that slide, the caliper then bolts to these sliders.
Supercharged 2 Posted February 3, 2009 Oh sorry, I see what you mean now - hmmm I reckon they might be but they are part of the carrier according to ETKA so can't check - the only seperate parts you can buy are the boots for them...
sim0n_parker 0 Posted February 3, 2009 oh buggger, not what i wanted to hear tbh, going from a set of 288 calipers i could of used but would have had to have spacers etc on my wheels, to a set of 280's that would fit with no issues what so ever but are possibly useless if i cant swop the sliders over. cheers for looking mate
dragon green 5 Posted February 3, 2009 I have a set of both ! just been in my cold workshop and stripped them both ! the micrometer doesnt lie , they are the same ! But are they the sameas the rears ?
sim0n_parker 0 Posted February 3, 2009 rears? no im on about the both front vr6 280mm calipers and 16v calipers so your saying both are the same and i can use them, thank you very much, and cheers for measuring them up in your cold workshop thanks mate
Purple Tom 0 Posted February 3, 2009 They are very definitely the same as I've just converted my C to 280mm brakes from the normal 256mm setup, and I used the sliders from both sets to get a decent set of 4 without corrosion. Hope that helps :) Tom
