Rattle cans & 'touch-up' pens still available from Stealers!

Contacted my local stealers just on the off chance that you could still get the spray rattle cans from VW and was a bit shocked to find out that, yep, no problem for the vast percentage of colours!

 

I thought it might be a long shot, as I've got a G60 in the metallic grey finish but no problem.

 

Ended up with a 'touch-up' kit in the same colour as well. :D

 

Rattle can & can of lacquer = £12

Touch up pen & lacquer pen = £6

 

Thought the info might come in usefull. :shrug:

i asked about spray cans and they said they didn't do one :mad2: i got the touch up pens, but thats like using body coloured porridge.

 

i ended up buying spray cans from different places online and seeing who got the best match

I bought the pen and aerosol kit too. Used to to refurb that little plate which holds the number plate lights in place which always seems to rot and get caked in crud

Yours is probably obsolete like mine (Ice Grey violet) then.

 

Luckily I have a really good local supplier of auto paints who will make a rattle can twice the size of the VW one for the same money :D
