rajarella 0 Posted February 28, 2009 I have got to remove the crossmember from the front of my VR6 to try and remove a snapped bolt. I know the front engine mount is supported by this and I need to support the engine but not sure of the best way to do it. I don't have any lifting gear so it will have to be supported from underneath. Has anyone got a picture of this being done or good details on how to do it? mrbeige 0 Posted February 28, 2009 Block of wood on top of a jack would do it :)
rajarella 0 Posted February 28, 2009 Where would I locate the jack on the bottom of the engine?
mrbeige 0 Posted February 28, 2009 When I had to change the water pump on mine, I just put a piece of 2 x 4 across the bottom of the sump, undid the front engine mount and jacked it up.
